Local Governing Committee
Our governors help to set the school's direction and make sure it is doing the best for every child. They support and challenge the school leaders and ensure the school is safe, inclusive and focused on high standards.
Our Chair of Govenrors is Liz Wagner.
Liz was born in Sheffield, “emigrated” to Southampton to read Chemistry at Southampton University and has stayed in the area ever since! She worked in secondary education after graduating, holding posts from classroom teacher to Deputy Principal of an Academy. Liz ran her own Educational Consultancy business for 13 years and has a huge passion for helping children learn and for supporting teachers. Her spare time is spent doing voluntary work for a variety of organisations near her home including being chair of governors of two other primary schools.
She thoroughly enjoys being Chair of Governors of the Sholing Junior School considering it be a real privilege.
Liz visits the school regularly to meet with the Headteacher and other staff and aims to attend as many school events as possible.
